Savana Partners is a traditional search fund sponsored by top names in the industry.  Search funds are one of the highest performing investment asset classes and are a rapidly emerging form of private investment / entrepreneurship hybrid model first pioneered in the 90's. The model provides a way for mid-career executives to gain mid-market investment and CEO experience earlier in their careers than traditional corporate paths offer. Savana is founded and operated by alumni from HBS and UCLA Anderson business schools, and is based in Irvine, CA.

Expected work activities

• Expect 4 hours of work per week (aim for 30 minutes per day, 4 days a week)

• Help us evaluate investment opportunities (broker CIMs, public data)

• Identify business models and learn our investment scoring criteria

• Browse business databases, build target lists, manage data (Excel data wrangling)

• Analyze markets (sizing, and penetration)

• Craft outreach marketing copy

• Calculate investment returns and valuation (Excel financial modeling)

• Research industry trends and attractiveness

• Develop original investment ideas for exploration and research
